Technical Course focuses on the technical aspects of lapidary equipment. Students will gain a thorough understanding of equipment maintenance, balancing, and troubleshooting faceting equipment problems, and understanding how to correct these issues while also dispelling common lapidary myths. This course is designed to elevate the student’s knowledge to a professional standard. The focus is on maintaining equipment at a professional level by addressing manufacturing issues, teaching how to correct these problems, and how to evaluate equipment before purchasing to identify potential issues. The class will cover how to manufacture metal cutting and polishing laps, service and charge metal polishing and cutting laps, and determine the essential equipment needed for professional setups for cutting and polishing gemstones worldwide. Prerequisite is completing Basic, Intermediate, Advance One, and Advance Two classes.
Technical Gemstone Cutting
Location: Chiang Mai Thailand.
Date: October 19th and 20th, 2025

Course Overview: The Technical Class is designed for cutters seeking to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize gemstone cutting equipment. Topics include diagnosing manufacturing defects, precision calibration, manufacturing and servicing metal cutting/polishing laps, and evaluating equipment for purchase. This course ensures the ability to maintain professional-level production standards. Specialized tools, materials, and maintenance guides are provided. The schedule is from 09:00 to 18:00 each day, totaling 16 hours of hands-on gemstone cutting maintenance of equipment. The project manuals, personal notes, and the faceted gemstone are yours to take home. Upon successful completion of the class, attendees will receive a diploma certifying their completion of the technical level gemstone faceting class requirements. Once the enrollment purchase is complete, a follow-up email will be sent with the itinerary, final enrollment paperwork, and useful information.
Refund policy. Please email request to cancel to Kgemstone to request cancellation of class 10 days from start date will recieve full refund. If such Termination Notice is not received within the about term (10 days) prior to the start of the class applicable to this Contract, Kgemstone will refund only 60% of the Fees (40% of the fees will be kept as Penalty for late cancellation). However, Class Attendee can enroll anytime afterwards in any course and the penalty will be deducted from the Fees.
