Last Few Years: People are using them to CUT. The BATT™ will not load up or foul when cutting quartzes.

A BATT™ lap charged with 3,000 diamond (Or 8,000) provides a perfect pre-polish after cutting with 600, with a surface good enough to allow subsequent polishing in record time, on stones from Fluorite to Sapphire.

A BATT™ lap charged with Diamond powder 50K or finer promptly finishes the stone.

Gearloose BATT™ 8" Polishing Lap – Unused, Original Stock

We were fortunate to find this BATT™ 8" lap in our inventory, and we are now making it available at a very reasonable price. This lap was purchased directly from Gearloose several years ago, stored carefully, and have never been used. It was opened to inspect the lap and take the photographs listed and then resealed.

This is the go-to lap for all stones and can be used for polishing quartz materials with oxides. Final polishing or prepolishing on all gemstones with diamond powder.

Condition: Brand new, unused, original Gearloose stock

Compatibility: Originally purchased by Kgemstones for use with the Ultratec faceting machine (also listed under equipment). Kgemstones currently uses 6" BATT™ laps.

This lap was never used because Kgemstones later shifted its focus toward manufacturing 6" copper for cutting and polishing. Kgemstones also uses BATT™ 6" Laps by GearLoose for professional polishing when not polishing corundum.
